Noticing the turnout of the most recent event me and some buddies of mine have been wondering if there will be another AsylumLan? We are definitely understanding about life taking priority, no one would expect Grym or Dev to put this event in front of what really matters. I for one would like to applaud there devotion to the events they have held since it got handed over to them from Rick "Insane". I really hope for more AsylumLans, and if a break from it is in order then that is understandable and accepted by myself and my group that comes from near St. Louis for this LAN.

I wasn't able to make it to the last event, so I'm curious about this as well. The main page and these forums seem to be dead, though, so I'm not holding my breath for a reply.

It'd be sad to see Asylumlan just kind of fade away with no notice, no fanfare, no anything.

I don't know if AL is finished or not.  I just want to say that if it is over, I want to thank EVERYONE who made it so special for my family over the years.  The time I got to spend with my son (Fusion), the people I got to meet...We always had a wonderful time.  Thank You, Thank You, Thank You...      Gump

I would like to see an al 35 in the near future Grin, I live in Terre Haute, and i try to make as may as i can with my work. Coming to AL has been a good way for me to relax and spend some  time with my son. I have a small group of people (4-7) that would come. If someone has heard anything, or if there is any plains in the works please let me know

I've travelled all the way from Chicago for several of the AsylumLAN events.  I have never been disappointed, they are by far the best events, not just because they are some of the funnest, but because of the great environment.  They are very family friendly, with younger people being welcome and almost caterred to, along with everyone being extremely nice and respectful.

I've been wondering if there would be another one, and hoping that there would be.  I know the turn out for the past few hasn't been all too great, probably a result of the poor economy.  If it has been put off because of this, I hope it will come back soon.

I'm not sure why the staff hasn't addressed any of these questions.  But from what I have heard, AL is no longer.

I've also heard that AL is no more.

My buddies and I have been holding LAN parties in Southern Illinois for over 14 years now. We're just a little over a 1 hour drive west of Evansville...based at Southeastern Illinois College in Harrisburg, IL. We actually have our next event coming up on June 19, so come check us out at www.catacombz.com.

Just wanted to throw that out there. Smiley

AsylumLAN used to be a staple of my entertainment but I had to step away from it for a few years for other reasons, and now that I'm ready to come back, seeing it drift away into nothingness as far as the events go makes me sad.  I was looking forward to going to one this summer but now that seems to be a impossibility.  I really hope it makes a resurrection but if not, thank you AsylumLAN for the memories, the friendships, the nights, and the fun.  You will always hold a special place in my heart.  No other LAN party I have been to has come close to your level of devotion, compassion, and ingenuity.  Adu my good friend.

Here's hoping the website redesign gives us some clues on a future event.
